Bear Creek Park is a 100 plus acre park with little league fields, an off-leash dog area, a BMX track,
an outdoor performing amphitheater, a 25,000 square foot skatepark, various barbecue areas,
four tennis courts, and restroom. It is also the southern most access to the Bear Creek Greenway,
a paved bike/pedestrian way which traverses northerly for approximately 6 miles thru Medford into Central Point.
It ends near I-5 exit, 30 close to the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

Named for Peter Britt, a prominent photographer who recorded many events in Jacksonville’s early years,
Britt Gardens is set on the historic 4.5 acre site where Britt lived until his death in 1954. The Britt House,
built in 1860 was destroyed by fire in 1960.
Home of the Britt Festivals, an outdoor music and performing arts festival, Britt Gardens is located
just two blocks from historic downtown Jacksonville. Britt Gardens is available for day use and picnicking.
The gardens and pavilion can be reserved for groups or events from mid-September through May.

The beautiful Applegate River is the focal point of Cantrall-Buckley Park which spans over 88 acres,
and features 1.75 miles of river frontage. The large native trees and ample lawn make this an ideal site for
family gatherings or group picnics. Four well-appointed group picnic areas, available for a variety of social events,
make Cantrall-Buckley Park one of the most popular recreational destinations in Jackson County.
The site is an ideal place for weddings, receptions, and company outings.
A shady campground above the river provides an ideal camping location while attending the
Britt Festivals in nearby Jacksonville. A group campsite is also available by reservation only.

This is a 2 acre fenced off-leash area with water, covered picnic table and natural track.
It is located in Bear Creek Park at the corner of Highland Drive and Barnett Road, near I-5 Exit 27.
There are no lights at this facility and all city park hours are 6am - 10:30pm unless posted otherwise.
Parking is available at the end of Alba Drive in the Little League Field area (when open) as well as off
street parking and two parking lots; off of Highland Drive and another off of Siskiyou Blvd.
Other Dog Areas: At this time dogs are allowed in any city park if they
are on-leash and the owner removes feces immediately.

As one of Jackson County Parks’ most popular destinations, Emigrant Lake (elev. 2241 ft.)
has it all. Located 6 miles SE of Ashland, the park offers a host of activities for the entire family —
from an RV park and 42 tent site campground to swimming, picnicking, hiking,
boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for bass, crappy and trout.
RV Park with Full Hookup
The all-new RV park features 32 sites with full hookups — overlooking over 12 miles of beautiful
shoreline on the lake’s north end. Each site offers water, 50-amp electrical service, sewer, and
ample 14’ x 50’ pads to accommodate any size RV. The park also boasts new bathroom facilities and showers.

Located on Stewart Avenue, between Holly Street and Oakdale Avenue. This is a 31 acre site with
pathways, four sand volleyball courts, two basketball courts, four tennis courts, a play area,
a very small gazebo, soccer fields, and restroom.
RESERVATIONS/RULES - At this park, only "open" areas are reservable. These are typically
the areas under the shade by the basketball court, or to the left of the sand volleyball courts,
but it may be any open area in the park (unless soccer leagues/tournaments are playing). There is no
electricity available at this site. In an effort to continue providing open access to the public, the volleyball
courts are not reservable but at times they may be in use for league or tournament play.
So come and watch some great players!

Discover a bonanza of recreational opportunities at this alpine lake (elev. 4500 ft.) high
above the southern Rogue Valley. With 1.63 miles of lake frontage, this is a popular destination
for boating, sailing, and fishing at the "Best trout fishery in Southern Oregon". The 155 acres offer a surprising
167 tent sites with 185 trailer hookups. Showers and camp-trailer rentals are available. T
he Pacific Crest Trail is easily accessible from this beautiful retreat.
Howard Prairie’s many recreational activities include fishing, hiking and camping. Oregon Fish and Wildlife
stocks the lake with 100,000 trout each year. There are boat launch facilities at Klum Landing,
Willow Point, and Grizzly; group camp facilities at Sugar Pine; Lily Glen Equestrian Area with its barn,
corrals, horse trails, picnic tables, camping and group camping facilities; and Howard Prairie Resort
with its restaurant, store, marina and boat rentals.

special interest classes, typically scheduled quarterly. As the Shack Teen Center/Jr. Shack the cottage is
transformed into a multi-functional facility offering Jr. high and high school age youth the use of ping pong,
Sony play station, air hockey, pool table, dancing, arts and crafts and special events. All of the center's amenities

Jackson County Sports Park includes the Southern Oregon Speedway where stock car racing
is featured April through September on a 1/3-mile clay oval track. It accommodates more than

The Southern Oregon Dragway is a quarter-mile track offering racing March through October.
More than 5,000 fans can be accommodated with grandstand and grassy hillside seating.

Outlaw Kart Racing is held on Friday nights April through August on a 1/8-mile dirt oval with

Early developmental work occurred in the late 30's primarily by the Civilian Conservation Corp.

This 49 acre parcel once housed the City's sewer treatment plant. When you visit you can see the
round concrete settling tank, which is now storage for several of the clubs which operate at the site.
In 1979 an agreement was made with the City of Medford and the S.O. Chapter of the National Railway
Historical Society to begin development of this unique park. This unique attraction is operated by:
the Southern Oregon Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society; the Southern Oregon
Live Steamers; the Morse Telegraph Club; the Rogue Valley Model Railroad Club;
and the Southwest Oregon Large Scale Train Club.
Park attractions include: full size cars, a caboose, a hopper car, Medco's "Four Spot" Willamette Locomotive,
HO Scale Track/Trains in the clubhouse, a working telegraph system to send and receive telegrams
in the compound, and an operating outdoor Garden Railway.
Ride Miniature "Built To Scale" Steam Trains 2nd and 4th Sunday each month
April thru October 11am - 3pm. Ride for free, or you may make a donation to the club at that time.
Railroad Park Pavilion
RESERVATIONS: You can reserve the Railroad Park Pavilion. A partially covered area
separated from the attractions by a chain link fence. Although there is no electricity available, a restroom is close by
. You can also access the Bear Creek Greenway from here. As train rides are operated by club volunteers,
we cannot guarantee they will be operating although they may be scheduled. If you are interested in
reserving this area please visit the site to make sure the size of your group can be accommodated.

for a variety of events. Whether it’s a wedding, a special celebration, a conference or a business retreat,
the Riverhouse provides a location that’s both beautiful and functional.
The Riverhouse offers a charming lattice-covered deck overlooking the river, a gazebo
surrounded by beautiful gardens and the main hall that seats about 40 people. It offers a wonderfully
unique location for a wedding ceremony, reception or both. There’s even a bride’s dressing room
which adds a special touch to this unique facility. Plus, the full-service kitchen with commercial-sized
appliances simplifies your caterer’s work. Outside, a brick barbecue grill provides a focal point for hearty,
happy outdoor parties. Dining tables and chairs can be arranged on the deck, lawn or inside the Riverhouse.
Ample parking is also available.
The Riverhouse is located within Jackson County’s Upper Rogue Regional Park at 7710 Rogue River Drive,
Shady Cove. Over night hotel accommodations can be made next door at the Edgewater Inn.
The Riverhouse is available seven days a week, year-round. Reservations are required.

The action is fast and fun at this park, which sports a 10-field softball complex, a drag strip that is the site
of major racing events, a go-kart track, one-third mile dirt oval track, public shooting range, and fishing ponds.
Operated by profit and non-profit organizations.
You can sight your rifle in before hunting season or practice your marksmanship with rifles or pistols
at this large shooting range. There is also an area designated for shotgun enthusiasts. There is even a covered area
so you can enjoy target practice during the rainy season. The shooting range is open year round.
Racing fans can take advantage of the high-speed action at Jackson County’s Sports Park.
Whether it’s the Southern Oregon Speedway’s 1/3 mile oval track, the kart tract or the ¼ mile drag strip,
the Sports Park provides exciting racing events the entire family will enjoy.

from the hustle and bustle work week. With an expansive 927 acres of recreational activities including hiking trails,
swimming, fishing for trout, bass or crappy, camping and boating, Willow Lake can accommodate anyone from the most avid
outdoor enthusiast to someone just wanting to escape for a while. Perfect for the family vacation, honeymoon or business retreat,
each of the four cabins at Willow Lake offers two bedrooms with a closet, comfortable bathroom with shower, and a spacious
dining/living area with direct access to the kitchen. For those wanting to get back to nature and still enjoy the comforts of home,
the cabins at Willow Lake are just right.
For a more traditional experience, set up camp in one of the 29 tent sites, complete with barbecue pits and picnic tables.
If a larger space is required, be sure to utilize the Group Campground Reservation Area with its 11 available sites,
perfect for family reunions and larger social gatherings. A Comfort Station (with showers)
is nearby which could turn a day in the sun into a relaxing evening.
Willow Lake is open year round for RV camping. Setup in one of the 20 full hookup sites or make use of the
17 Electric/Water sites to keep your stay as relaxing as possible. Willow lake isn't only a summer destination. Park the RV or reserve
a cabin for winter recreation too! Willow Lake provides a perfect location to take advantage of nearby snowmobile or cross-country skiing areas.
